Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the For the Creators website at forthecreators.co (our Site).

These terms and conditions (Terms) apply when you access the Site, create a membership or hire/purchase items from us. They are important for you and us as they explain what we expect from each other and provide helpful information about delivery, price and payment, fit of items, your responsibilities, return policies, charges for lost, damaged or late items, and problem resolution.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site or placing an order. If you have questions about our terms, contact us at orders@forthecreators.co. We may update these terms from time to time, so please review them regularly. The latest version applies to your agreement with us.

About You
The Site and our services are for personal use by customers within the UK. We don't deliver outside the UK. To use the Site, you must be at least 18 years old.

Your Account
If registering for an account, ensure your details are accurate and your password is confidential. We may refuse, terminate, or suspend accounts at our discretion. We may ask you to change your password or suspend your account if we suspect misuse. 

Hiring from Us

To hire an item from us you need to place an order via the Site. We will send you an email acknowledging your order once the check-out process is complete and at this point a hire contract will come into existence between you and us in relation to that order.

If we can't accept your order, we'll inform you and refund any payments. This could be due to stock levels, payment issues, or other reasons. While we strive for accuracy in item images, the actual item may slightly differ. 

All hire items are professionally cleaned before dispatch and will be professionally cleaned upon return.

Delivery

Membership: All members receive their monthly allocation with free delivery. Members will only incur delivery charges upon swapping an item or if different start dates are requested for different items in a given month. Delivery charges will be incurred at checkout.

One-Time Rental: We charge a delivery fee of £5. All orders include a free post returns label.  All orders are dispatched using Royal Mail Tracked 24. We'll email when your item is dispatched with your Royal Mail tracking number. If delivery is missed, a note will be left with redelivery instructions. If not received within 3 weekdays of the first attempt, the hire period begins the following day.

Retail: Standard delivery is £4.95. For faster delivery, we offer Royal Mail Tracked 48 or Royal Mail Tracked 24, both at £6.95. Orders over £50 receive free standard shipping. We'll email you when your order has been dispatched with a Royal Mail tracking number. If a delivery is missed, a note will be left with redelivery instructions.

Responsibility for Delivered Items
Once an item has been confirmed as delivered to the customer’s address by Royal Mail or another courier, responsibility for the item passes to the customer. For The Creators is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to items after delivery has been confirmed. We recommend that customers check with neighbours or any designated safe delivery locations in case of misplacement. If a claim need to be made it should be the customer who does this with support from For The Creators.

Price and Payment

The price (including VAT) for the item(s) will be indicated on the order pages when you place your order.

[We will pass on changes in the rate of VAT. If the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date we dispatch the items we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay unless you have already paid for the item(s) in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.]

We use our best efforts to ensure that the hire prices shown on the Site are correct but it is possible that there could be mistakes. If we discover a mistake in relation to an item you have ordered we will tell you as soon as we can and you can choose whether to proceed with your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we are unable to reach you we will treat your order as cancelled and if you have already paid we will refund you in full.

Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, ShopPay, ApplePay, GooglePay, and PayPal. Payment is taken when ordering. Charges may apply for late, lost, or damaged items and unreturned packaging.

We will take payment when you place your order. [If your payment cannot be taken we will notify you and your order will be cancelled].

Additional charges may also be payable for

• (a) late, lost or damaged items
• (b) unreturned packaging

We will email you to confirm any such charges which are payable. We reserve the right to take payment for these using the payment details you provided during the check out process but if this is not possible we will ask you to make payment to us within [5] days of our notifying you of the charges.

If you do not make any payment to us by the due date we may charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 4% a year above the base lending rate of the Bank of England from time to time. This interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgement. You must pay us interest together with any overdue amount.

Returning Items

Rental items: 

1. Log in and go to the Returns tab
2. Select 'Create new return'
3. Choose the items you're returning and confirm your returns method

Pop your returns into the reusable bag that came with your order.

Once confirmed, your credits refresh straight away — so you can pick your next pieces whenever you're ready. You'll get either a printable label or a QR code for your chosen drop-off point, or you can book a home collection. You can track your return at any time from the Returns tab.

Retail & Sale Items

All retail and sale items can be returned within 30 days of purchase, with the exception of health and wellbeing, underwear, and swimwear products, which are non-returnable. Items must be unworn, unused, and in perfect condition to be eligible for return. We reserve the right to refuse a return or refund if we believe a garment has been worn or an item has been used.

To return your items:

1. Log in and go to the Returns tab
2. Select 'Create new return'
3. Choose the items you're returning and confirm your returns method

Pop your returns into the reusable bag that came with your order.

Final Sale – Ex-Rental & Imperfect Items

Some of our previously rented pieces may be listed as Final Sale. These are items marked as Ex-Rental or Imperfect on the product page, have been heavily discounted to reflect their condition, and are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances. All Final Sale items will be clearly marked on the product page.

We recommend taking a moment to double-check sizing, fit, and product details before purchasing. If you're unsure or need advice, our team is always happy to help before you order.

 

Fit Issues
Member: If an item doesn't fit, please login to your account, request a return and order a replacement item. We’ll send you your replacement. 

One-time rental:  If an item doesn't fit, please contact us on orders@forthecreators.co and we’ll arrange for a replacement item to be dispatched. If a replacement can’t be organised we’ll issue you with a refund. All returns should be made within 24 hours of receiving the order.

Your responsibilities for the items you hire

We want you to enjoy wearing the item(s) you hire from us and we accept that some fair wear and tear may occur. We consider fair wear and tear to include [minor stains, missing buttons, stuck zips and minor rips]. We would however remind you that the item(s) you hire from us will at all times remain the property of For the Creators and if you fail to return the item(s) on time or you return them damaged (excluding fair wear and tear) you will have to pay us compensation, see point 12

We ask that you please stick to the following guidelines whilst the item(s) are with you:

• (a) Do not share the items with other people, we are hiring them to you for your own personal use only.
• (b) Treat the items with care, you will be responsible for damage (excluding fair wear and tear) from when you receive them to when you post them back to us.
• (c) We understand accidents happen but we ask that you do not alter or repair any item, if an item is damaged please let us know [LINK].
• (d) If you wish to wash an item, pay careful attention to the garment instructions. We professionally dry clean all items so they are ready to wear when you receive them.
• (e) Keep the item(s) safe, you will be responsible to us for any loss or theft of them from when you receive them to when you post them back to us.
• (f) Make sure you remove all personal belongings from items before you return them to us.

Our charges for late, lost or damaged items

We charge for any item not returned to us on time at a rate of 10% of the recommended retail price (RRP) of the item per day for up to 7 days.

If any item is [sent back to us] more than 7 days late or is returned damaged (excluding fair wear and tear) we will charge you up to the full RRP for the item. [Where an item can be successfully repaired for less than the RRP then we will only charge you the cost of the repair.] 

The RRP for all items will be displayed on the Site.

Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel a hire contract with us within 14 days of our acknowledging your order without giving any reason and receive a refund. If you do this after we have dispatched the item(s) or you have received them:

• (a) you must return the item(s) to us, you can use our free returns process 
• (b) you will have to pay us for the hire period until you tell us you wish to cancel.

To cancel a hire contract please let us know by doing one of the following:

• (a) Using the form in the membership section of our website here.

We always try to process refunds as soon as possible but where we have already dispatched the item(s) or you have received them this will not be done until we have received the item(s) back. Refunds will be processed by the method you used for payment. We may make the following deductions from such refunds: 

• (a) an amount for the proportion of the 21 day hire period up to the time you tell us you change your mind,
• (b) any charges due to lost, damaged or late returns;
• (c) any charges due in accordance with unreturned packaging;

Promotions and discount codes

1. Promotion codes must be applied at checkout (unless otherwise stated).

2. Promotion codes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may only be used once per customer unless otherwise specified.

3. Promotion codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, discount, or membership credit, unless expressly stated.

4. All promotions are subject to availability and may be withdrawn, revoked, suspended, or amended at any time without notice.

5. Promotion codes and discounts may be restricted from use on selected brands or product categories. Any such exclusions will be listed on the relevant product pages and/or our Brand Exclusion List.

6. If an order is returned, any refund will reflect the discounted price actually paid and not the full retail price of the item(s).

7. Promotions apply only within the stated promotional dates and times.

8. For The Creators reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and to cancel orders where promotion misuse is suspected.

Black Friday Month 2025 Promotion Terms

1. 2-for-1 One-Time Rental Promotion

• Offer: Rent any item for 4, 7, 10 or 30 days and receive a second One-Time rental free of charge. The free rental will apply to the cheapest eligible item in the order.

• Promotion Period: Valid from 17 November 2025 to 14 December 2025 (inclusive).

• Eligibility: Offer applies to all one-time rental items on forthecreators.co.

• Exclusions: No exclusions — all rental items are included in this promotion.

• How to Redeem: Add two eligible rental items to your basket. The discount for the cheaper item will be automatically applied at checkout.

• Duration: Both items must be booked within the same order (4, 7, 10, or 30 days).

• Returns & Exchanges: Standard rental return and sizing swap policies apply.

• Non-Transferable: This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other discount codes or promotions unless explicitly stated.

• One-Time Use: Offer applies per order. Multiple uses allowed across the promotional period.

• Changes: For The Creators reserves the right to amend or withdraw the promotion at any time.

2. For The Creators Monthly Membership – 30% Off for 3 Months

Promotion Period: 02 December 2025 – 31 December 2025 (inclusive)

Offer: Customers who start a 4- or 6-item maternity clothes membership during the Promotion Period will receive 30% off their monthly membership fee for the first three months. A minimum membership term of three months applies.

Eligibility: Offer applies automatically when a qualifying membership is started during the Promotion Period.

3. Free Month Membership Trial Promotion Terms

Promotion Period:
Ongoing, subject to availability. Free trial memberships are released periodically in limited quantities.

Offer:
From time to time, For The Creators offers a limited number of free one-month trials of the 4-item membership tier. Customers must sign up to the free trial mailing list to request access. Free trial places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligible customers will receive a unique, single-use promotional code via email, which must be redeemed at checkout to activate the free month. If all free trial places are filled at the time of sign-up, customers will be added to a waitlist and contacted when further free trial places become available.

Standard Membership Pricing (after the free month):

After the free month, membership will continue at the standard monthly rate unless cancelled in accordance with our Membership Terms.

Eligibility: This offer is available to new For The Creators members only. Customers must not have previously held a membership or redeemed a free trial.

Redemption Conditions:

• The free month must be redeemed using the unique code sent via email

• Codes are valid on the 4-item membership tier only

• Codes are single use, non-transferable, and must be redeemed before expiry (if stated in the email)

• Only one free trial is permitted per customer

Renewal and Cancellation:
Memberships automatically renew at the standard monthly rate after the free month unless cancelled. You may cancel your membership at any time using our cancellation form, in line with our Membership Terms.

Exclusions:
This offer cannot be combined with any other promotion, discount, referral credit, or membership incentive.

Additional Terms:
This offer has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may be amended, paused, or withdrawn at any time without notice. For The Creators reserves the right to limit eligibility, refuse redemption, or place customers on a waitlist in order to protect member experience and availability.

Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes for breach of your legal rights in relation to the items you hire, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. However, subject to that we will not be responsible for:

• (a) any losses which were not foreseeable (so it was not obvious it would happen and we did not know when contracting with you that it might happen); or
• (b) any commercial or business losses such as loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity because this Site and our services are only supplied for personal use.

Other Information about using this Site

We try to make sure that the Site is available, accurate, up-to-date and free from errors, however we cannot promise that it will be at all times.

The Site may contain hyperlinks or references to third party advertising and websites other than the Site. Any such hyperlinks or references are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over third party advertising or websites and accept no legal responsibility for any content, material or information contained in them. The display of any hyperlink and reference to any third party advertising or website does not mean that we endorse that third party’s website, products or services. Your use of a third party site may be governed by the terms and conditions of that third-party site and is at your own risk.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens.

You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms to another person if we agree to this in writing.

If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these Terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking your contract with us, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.

These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of them, the Site or items hired in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring such legal proceedings either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring such legal proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.

Product Liability

For The Creators shall not be held liable for any damages, injury or illness caused by the misuse of any product. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to read all product instructions carefully, to use the product strictly for the purpose it was designed for, and to ensure that the product is used in a safe and reasonable manner. For The Creators shall not be held responsible for any damages, injury or illness that occur due to an allergic reaction, or as the result of any other unforeseen occurrence. It is your responsibility to make sure that the product does not contain anything you are allergic to. We take care in choosing our brands from authorised distributors but use of the products is at your own risk and should you ever feel unwell or have a reaction from our products, please consult your doctor as soon as possible.

Problem Resolution

Contact us at orders@forthecreators.co for any issues. We check all items before dispatch. If you receive a faulty item, return it for a full refund or replacement.

Digital Content
The content on For The Creators is our property. Unauthorized copying or replication is prohibited.

Complaint Handling
Forward complaints to orders@forthecreators.co. We'll review and respond detailing actions and resolutions.

Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email.

Termination of Service
Members can terminate memberships anytime by accessing their account and choosing to pause or cancel.
