Dry, itchy skin affects a huge number of children, and the single most effective thing you can do is use gentle, fragrance-managed products consistently rather than occasionally. Colloidal oat has long been used to soothe irritated skin and support the barrier.
Patch test before first use. Speak to your GP, health visitor or pharmacist if your child has diagnosed eczema or persistent irritation — emollient routines are usually prescribed and this shouldn't replace a treatment plan.
